Mountain Running Race “1st KASTRA MOUNTAIN TRAIL”

The Municipality of Servia in collaboration with the voluntary team “Servia Runners” proudly announce the 1st Mountain Running Race “KASTRA MOUNTAIN TRAIL”, taking place in Servia, on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

The race offers trails for every level and age, including a 14km race, a 4km dynamic walking race, and a children’s race of 1200 meters for kids aged 7 to 14 years old.

This event is dedicated to the memory of Theodoros “Teo” Hatzis, founding member of the Servia Runners and a person who opened new horizons in the area.

Servia is located in the heart of Kozani, between the northwestern ends of the Pierian Mountains and the Aliakmon River, 26km southeast of Kozani. Moreover, it’s only 150km from Thessaloniki, making it an ideal destination for a short city getaway.

The race will mainly take place on the hill of the Byzantine Castle of Servia, with forest trails and terrain variations that will surprise you. The unique landscape and natural beauty will make this race unforgettable.
