The Georgantia 2024 are approaching!
The organization announces running races in Steno, Arcadia, on 31/3/2024, featuring distances of 10 km, 5 km, and 1 km for children. The Georgantia offer a recreational experience with cultural value. They honor N. Georgantas, a pioneering athlete who left an indelible mark on sports.
Nikolaos Georgantas, a sports hero, was born in 1880 and distinguished himself in the Panhellenic Gymnastics Association, participating in the Olympic Games in 1904 and 1908. He immigrated to the USA in 1920, remaining devoted to sports and the administration of the Panhellenic Association. He passed away in 1958, leaving behind a legacy in sports.
