Discovering the Joy of Running: Participating in the ‘Dytikos Road’ Race
One of the most beautiful aspects of running is the opportunity to connect with the sports community and take part in events that promote health and well-being. And that’s precisely what will happen in Thessaloniki on October 1st, with the major sports event, the ‘Dytikos Road’ Race.
Three municipalities in western Thessaloniki – Pavlos Melas, Kordelio-Evosmos, and Ampelokipoi-Menemeni – are joining forces and combining their expertise to create a unique celebration of the running movement. The ‘Dytikos Road’ Race will take place outside the stadium, on public roads, and will include various routes suitable for all ages and skill levels.
Participation is FREE for everyone! This running celebration is open to all ages and skill levels, including individuals with disabilities, as it offers different routes to suit everyone’s preferences.
It includes the following routes:
2 kilometers (for power walking and individuals with disabilities)
Each route has its starting point, providing an opportunity for everyone to participate in this sports celebration. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced runner, there is a route for you.
The starting points of the routes are located at various points in the city, and all routes finish at the former Karatasiou military camp, where the closing ceremony and awards presentation will take place.
Come and join us in the ‘Dytikos Road’ Race, where we will cross together through the urban landscape of western Thessaloniki! And don’t forget, running is much more than just physical activity.
