Konstantineia 2024

The EAS SEGAS of Western Macedonia and GS Deskati, in collaboration with the Municipality of Deskati, announce the “KONSTANTINEIA 2024” Road and Mountain Races, which will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in Deskati, Grevena.

Participants can choose among the following routes:

• Mountain Road 21km

• Road 10km

• Road 1,000m for students of Primary Schools

• Power Walking 2.5km

• Road 5km

• Special Road Race 800m

The “KONSTANTINEIA 2024” races offer an opportunity for athletes and sports enthusiasts to discover the beauty of the area and support sports.

Discover the beauties of the area:

1. The area of Deskati is a treasure trove of natural beauty and cultural heritage. With various routes and attractions, visitors have the opportunity to explore unique places and discover the rich history of the area. Among the attractions are:

   The shelter of the Mountaineering Association in Vounasa (1415m): A shelter with a capacity of 50 people, which attracts hikers and mountaineers all year round.

2. Traditional churches and monasteries: worth visiting are the old church of Agios Athanasios in the village of Ai-Giorgis (1851), the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Tornikio, the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikanor, and the Monastery of Evangelistria.

3. Enjoy local delicacies: Taste local products such as herbs, trahana (traditional Greek pasta), honey, pies, liqueurs, and experience the place through its flavors and traditions.
