Τhe 2nd Run Pyrgos – Katakolon is coming on October 1st, 2023, with 4 routes: 13 km, 7 km Road Race, 7 km Power Walking, and a 1.5 km Children’s Race, ensuring everyone finds the race that suits them!
For the 13 km, the start is at 9:30 AM at the Courthouse Square in Pyrgos. The route goes through the Provincial Road of Pyrgos – Katakolon, and athletes finish at Agios Nikolaos Square in Katakolon.
For the 7 km, the start is at 10:00 AM at Agios Ioannis Square. The route also goes through the Provincial Road of Pyrgos – Katakolon, and athletes finish at Agios Nikolaos Square in Katakolon.
For the 1.5 km children’s race, the start is at 11:00 AM at Agios Nikolaos Square in Katakolon. The route goes through the central road crossing Katakolo, with athletes going to the harbor and returning in front of the harbor, where they, also, finish.
Pyrgos is a city in northwestern Peloponnese, located 308 km from Athens, 20 km from Ancient Olympia, and 13 km from Katakolo, considered its seaside counterpart. Katakolo is a coastal village and the export port of the Elis Prefecture. Nearby is Ancient Olympia, with its world-famous sanctuary of Zeus and the Stadium, where the ancient Olympic Games were held.
