18th Road Race Mendenitsa – Fthiotidas

The 18th 13.7 km Road Race will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 18:00 in the enchanting Mendenitsa, Fthiotida. APS Apollon of West Attica invites you to participate in this unique athletic event that combines the natural beauty of Kallidromo with the traditional hospitality of the area.

The start and finish of the race will be at the central square of Mendenitsa, a location that will captivate you with its beauty. The 13.7 km route traverses the centuries-old fir trees of Kallidromo, starting at 520 m, ascending to 810 m at 7 km, and then gently descending back to the square.

For our young friends, there will be a village lap of 1700 m for children up to 15 years old.

After the race, we await you at the central square for an authentic celebration with local wine and traditional pies made by the women of the village. The atmosphere will be filled with cheer and vibrancy, offering an unforgettable experience for all participants and visitors.

Mendenítsa is just 13 km from the Athens-Lamia National Road. You can reach it by turning either left before the village of Thermopylae towards Lamia or right after Thermopylae towards Athens. Alternatively, you can turn towards Molo and take the asphalt road to Mendenítsa, passing through the village of Karavidía.
