11th “Run for Katerini” Road Race
The Municipality of Katerini, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Sports and Education, and the Athletic Cultural Running Club of Pieria “Zeus”, invites you to the 11th “Run for Katerini” Road Race on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Our starting point will be the enchanting Platanodasos of Neokaisareia, with the finish line at the iconic Eleftherias Square, a monument dedicated to the heroes of Katerini. The 8-kilometer paved and flat route takes us through historical landmarks and natural beauty, inviting us to explore the city and honor its liberation.
The race is part of the events celebrating the liberation of Katerini, a moment that reminds us of the value of freedom and unity. By participating, you are not only celebrating the city’s history but also your own strength and endurance.
Participation is open to everyone, regardless of fitness level. From beginner runners to experienced athletes, anyone can run, walk, enjoy, and contribute to the atmosphere of joy and unity.
The event will also feature musical performances along the route from local bands and cultural groups, making your participation even more enjoyable. Children and adults from local organizations, such as the “Merimna Paidou Katerinis” and K.D.A.P. M.E.A., will open the race, reminding us of the power of community.
