Skiadeia 2024: Road Races in Memory of Balkan Champion Yiannis Skiadas

The Municipality of Paiania and the Cultural – Athletic Organization of the Municipality, in collaboration with the city’s sports and cultural bodies, are pleased to announce the “Skiadeia 2024 Road Races.” This event honors the memory of the great Balkan champion athlete, Yiannis Skiadas, and will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Paiania.

The races are open to everyone – children, adults, professional, and amateur runners. A day dedicated to sports, participation, and health, the “Skiadeia 2024” invites the local community and runners from all over Greece to run and celebrate together.

• 500 meters

• 700 meters

• 100 meters

The start and finish of the races will take place at the central square of Paiania. Participating in the “Skiadeia 2024” races is an opportunity to honor the history of our area, promote a healthy lifestyle, and support our community through participation. Whether you’re a professional runner or an amateur who loves running, this event invites you to become part of the athletic tradition that keeps alive the memory of a great Greek athlete.
