9th Memorial Run for the Asia Minor Catastrophe “From Askanios to Erasinos” – A Race of Honor and Memory
The MUNICIPAL UNIT OF NEA KIOS, the MUNICIPALITY OF ARGOS-MYCENAE, and the “MARATHON RUNNERS OF ARGOLIDA” Association invite you to the 9th Memorial Run for the Asia Minor Catastrophe “From Askanios to Erasinos,” which will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Nea Kios, Argolida. This race, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, serves as a tribute to the refugees and the historical memory.
Routes for Everyone
The 9th Memorial Run includes routes suitable for all ages and fitness levels:
- 11,000-meter race: A challenge for adult runners looking to test their limits.
- 5,500-meter race: Open to runners aged 15 and above, ideal for those who want to participate in a shorter but equally significant route.
- Children’s 1,000-meter race: For children aged 8 to 14, offering an opportunity for the younger ones to experience the joy of running.
- Children’s 500-meter race: For younger children, aged 4 to 7, who want to take part.
- Walking route: On the same course as the 11 km race, for those who wish to walk and enjoy the scenery.
