Registrations for the 25th Kolokotronis Run are now open!
The race is dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Tripolitsa and to the pioneer general, Theodoros Kolokotronis. This great celebration of sports and history will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024, starting and finishing at Areos Square, in front of the Kolokotronis Statue.
At the same time, a 1000m race will also be held for elementary school students (ages 6-12) and junior high school students (ages 13-15), starting from Areos Square.
A race dedicated to Theodoros Kolokotronis!
Theodoros Kolokotronis, a leading figure of the Greek Revolution and known as the “Old Man of Morea,” played a key role in many military campaigns of the struggle for independence and has left an indelible mark on our history.
We invite everyone, young and old, to participate in this unique experience, to honor the hero Kolokotronis and the liberation of Tripolitsa together!
