3rd Sterea Run – Karpenisi Night Run: A Night Race You Shouldn’t Miss!

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 3rd Sterea Run – Karpenisi Night Run, which will take place on August 10, 2024, in the beautiful town of Karpenisi! Join us for a unique running experience through the illuminated streets of our city.

The Karpenisi Night Run includes routes for all ages and fitness levels:

• 10 km: A race that starts from Markos Botsaris Square, passes through the Karpenisi Sports Training Center, and returns to the same square. A journey from the historic city center to our modern sports center, in just 5 km filled with natural beauty.
• 5 km: A shorter but equally impressive route that starts and finishes at Markos Botsaris Square, passing through the main streets of the city.
• 1 km: Aimed at primary and secondary school children, starting at 19:30 and 19:45 respectively. It is the perfect opportunity for our young friends to feel the joy of sports on a safe and well-lit route.

Karpenisi, the capital of the Evrytania Prefecture, offers a stunning setting for this night race, built on the slopes of Mount Velouchi at an altitude of 1000 meters.

Don’t miss the chance to explore the area’s attractions, such as the Mountain Museum, the Evrytania History and Culture Center, and the traditional villages with rich vegetation and well-preserved buildings.
