Α two-day sports event in Konitsa – May 25th and 26th, 2024

The Municipality of Konitsa, in collaboration with the Athletic Club of Konitsa and No Limits, welcomes sports enthusiasts to a two-day event full of action and adventure, on May 25th and 26th, 2024, in the beautiful town of Konitsa.

Event Schedule:

1) Paragliding Meetup:
Soar through the skies of Konitsa with a unique paragliding experience from the slopes of Prophet Elias in Konitsa.

2) Mountain Running – 15km in Aoos Gorge:
A challenging race crossing the unique gorge of Aoos. With many amenities, significant prizes, medical coverage, electronic timing, refreshment stations, drone photography, commemorative shirts, and medals for all participants.

Race Description:
The race starts at 09:30 from the central square of Konitsa (elevation 620m), heading towards the stone bridge of Aoos (elevation 450m) and climbing from the old path to the Monastery of Stomiou (elevation 780m). The elevation gain is +770m. The return will be to the central square of Konitsa via the riverside path of Aoos and the church of Agia Varvara.
