1st Soligeios Agonas Dromou

The Cultural Association “Soligeios Desmos”, in collaboration with the Region of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Corinth, brings the 1st Soligeios Road Race to the hot springs of Helen of Troy.

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, athletes will face the challenge of the races with different routes, tailored for adults and children. The routes, 17 km, 5 km, and 1000 meters in length, will start and finish at the pier of the hot springs of Helen of Troy.

The start will be given from the Pier of the Hot Springs of Helen of Troy, where the finish will also take place. The race route is asphalt. The purpose of the event is the participation of athletes in physical activities that improve health and quality of life and the promotion of the natural beauty of the area as well.

The Area
The hot springs of Helen of Troy are located in the Municipality of Corinth, 9 kilometers south of the Isthmus of Corinth, with a history that highlights the richness of the area and offers a unique experience to every visitor. The small settlement called Helen of Troy offers a pleasant environment for swimming during the summer, especially on weekends, due to easy access from Athens. There are two beaches in the thermal springs of Helen of Troy, along with many accommodations, taverns, and cafes. The thermal springs of the village, known since antiquity, were recently recognized for their therapeutic properties. Their water is suitable for balneotherapy and can help with many diseases, while it is not suitable for some conditions.

To promote physical activity and highlight the natural wealth of the area, the race combines exercise with the enjoyment of the natural beauty of the region!
